Hyundai gears up for the new Verna which will have a new face and refreshed interiors. Also new is the automatic gearbox for the diesel verna. Yes, for the first time, the segment will have a diesel automatic. Hyundai is coming up with a diesel Verna with an automatic gearbox. The new Hyundai Verna will have a complete facelift with new exteriors and interiors.

The new refreshed face will sport a new radiator grille with chrome strip on the top and a new waistline moulding with chrome insert that will accentuate the car’s side profile. Expect the new style with elegance from the facelifted Hyundai Verna with newly designed full wheel cover and a chrome rear garnish that emphasizes its poise and exteriors.

The new body colours have also been added to give more choice to the consumers. The interiors have also been touched upon and the Indian customers can enjoy the new seat fabric and a 2-DIN integrated CD player.

The new Hyundai Verna automatic sports a 4-speed automatic gearbox while the top end variant of the car comes loaded with flashy and enticing features. The new Verna will have 185/65 R14 tyres, meaning fatter tyres for better driving experience. Alloy wheels, premium audio system, height adjustable front seat belt, leather strapped steering wheel and leather wrapped TGS knob in the new Hyundai Verna automatic are some of the other features in the top end variant of the model.

Hyundai, on 15/01/09, launched the upgraded version of its sonata Embera – the Sonata Transform.

The Sonata Transform, comes with an Exterior Styling that includes door handles, front and rear bumper insert, outside mirror housing and waistline molding. The new sonata transform also gets rear defoggers, fog lamps and twin exhaust.  Inside the New Sonata Transform, you get 2-tone beige interior, auto head lamp off, wood-grain finish inserts on steering, dashboard and door panel.

New Sonata Transform is powered by the advanced second generation Theta family of gasoline engine which produces a awesome 175PS @ 6000 rpm of maximum power and a peak torque of 23.8Kgm @ 4000 rpm resulting in robust acceleration and a quick throttle response. The 2.4 litre, four cylinder, DOHC engine is assisted by a Variable Intake System (VIS) and VTVT technology which makes it highly fuel efficient as well as a refined unit. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The diesel variant of the Sonata Transform powered by a 4-cylinder, 2-litre Common Rail engine (CRDi) with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) is both frugal as well as an efficient performer. With a peak power of 150PS @ 3850 rpm and max torque of 32.1kgm @ 2000 rpm it generates enough performance to delight the enthusiast. The diesel (CRDi) variant of new sonata transform will be available with both - a 6-speed manual and a 4-speed (H-Matic) automatic transmission.

Hyundai launched its latest offering adding the small hatchback, and much awaited “the i20” on 29th December 2008.

Hyundai i20, offers plenty of features which includes - fog lamps front & rear], day / night inside rear view mirror, body coloured bumpers, integrated music player 2DIN with USB, 4 speakers with two front tweeter, steering mounted audio controls, glove box cooling, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, electrically foldable rear view mirrors, power windows, power steering, rear washer and wiper, rear defogger, tilt and telescopic steering. i20 comes with loads of safety features. The safety features of i20 includes - ABS and EBD and six airbags - dual front, side and curtain airbags.

In addition to the above features, Asta and Asta variants gets height adjustable driver seat, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped and chrome finish TGS knob and alloy wheels. While the i20 Magna runs on 175/70R14 tubeless tyres, and gets only steel wheel, the top end Asta and Asta  runs on larger profile 185/65 R14 tubeless tyre and alloy wheels.  The i20 will be available in seven colours.

Flexible, with Turning radius of i20 is just 5.2m, the Hyundai i20 is powered by an 1.2L kapp engine developing 80PS of max power at 5200rpm and 114Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm. Hyundai offers the premium hatchback in three variants - i20 Magna,i20 Asta and i20 Asta (O). i20 is 3940mm in length,1710mm wide and 1505mm height and a wheelbase of 2525mm. i20 also offers a quiet decent luggage space of 295 litres.
