Mahindra Logan Launches Edge Connect

Mahindra Renault today launched a new variant of Logan called Logan edge connect which features a high end music system with hands-free telephony integrated via Bluetooth  and comes with  leather upholstery, Driver Information System (DIS), Reverse Parking Sensors, ABS & EBD. Available in three new colors including the very popular Mystique Purple launched with the original Logan Edge. With its eye-catching exteriors, plush interiors and innovative features, the Logan Edge Connect is an extension of the Logan Edge brand experience, redefining luxury for the Indian car buyer. Logan Edge Connect  has been developed on the basis of evolving customer needs.

Mahandra XYLO Launched

Mahindra and Mahindra officially launched their much awaited XYLO on 13 th. Jan 2009.  Xylo will be in four variants - E2, E4, E6 and E8 this Xylo comes with 2.5L CRDe unit delivering 115bhp of maximum power and 240Nm of peak torque between 1800-3000rpm. Detailed description can be found HERE

 

Xylo E2 features an illuminated spoiler and engine immobilizer, Height adjustable driver seat, power steering, Tilt steering, mobile charger points, electric remote fuel lid open, floor console, sun visor, tachometer, wheel cover cap and illuminated ring. XYLO sports a surround cool A/C, roof mounted rear A/C and Power windows etc.

 

Xylo E4 features are much the same a E2 with additional rear wiper and keyless entry, tailgate appliqué body colour.

 

Xylo E6 features  are much the same as E2 & E4, with addition of rear wiper,sunvisor pass with illuminated vanity mirror, courtesy lamp (1+1+2), puddle lamp on front and rear door and keyless entry, Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), Intelligent Park reverse assist system, Class Antenna, roof tail, grille contrast colour, side cladding body unpainted with ss insent and bumper contrast colour.

 

Xylo E8 features are much the same as E6. All the variants common features, adjustable armrest for drive and co-driver, foldable arm rest in middle seat with utility space, foldable arm rest in last seat with utility space, 3-position lumber support for front seats, surround cool A/C, roof mounted rear A/C, Power windows, Express power window with anti pinch feature and 2 DIN music system with USB and SD card compatibility.

Linea and Xylo delayed

Fiat and Mahindra and Mahindra had planned to launch their upcoming vehicles Fiat Linea and Mahindra Xylo in the month of December. Both the companies are now contemplating on the launch dates of their models. The terror attacks in Mumbai coupled with the slowdown in market demand has made them to push the launch dates of their models to January 2009. Thus, Fiat Linea and the MUV from Mahindra, Mahindra Xylo will now be launched in January 2009.

 Fiat Linea Active Review and ImagesAn executive from M&M said, “The sentiments were already down, but due to the terror attacks in Mumbai, we have decided to shift the launch date of the Xylo from this month to next month.” A spokesperson for FIAL said, “We have decided to move the launch date of Linea due to the prevailing conditions in Mumbai. Our earlier launch date was December 16. We will take a call on the rescheduled date on Monday.”

M&M is banking upon its latest models for lifting its sales, while Fiat is also planning an image makeover in India, and plans to roll out Linea from its Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra.
